We just wrapped up one of the bigger commercial HVAC jobs we've handled in the Detroit area - moving and reinstalling 21 AC units to make way for soil testing and site construction. That kind of logistical coordination isn't something every HVAC contractor is set up to handle. You need a team that can track each unit, disconnect and relocate it without causing damage, and get everything back up and running once the work is done.

Each unit got tagged and carefully moved so the construction crew could get full access to the site. No shortcuts, no guesswork. When you're dealing with 21 separate systems across a property, organization is everything. Losing track of even one unit - or reinstalling it incorrectly - can create a ripple effect of problems that costs real money to fix.

After reinstallation, we fitted every single unit with a new heavy-duty security cage. AC theft is a serious issue on active construction sites. Copper components and refrigerant make these units a target, and an exposed unit sitting unattended during a construction phase is an easy score for thieves. The steel security cages we installed bolt directly to the pad and wrap the entire unit - a real deterrent, not just a visual one.

Whether you're a property manager dealing with a construction project in Wayne County or a developer coordinating work across multiple sites in Washtenaw County, this is exactly the kind of complex, high-volume commercial HVAC work we do. From our home base in Ann Arbor, we serve job sites all across Southeast Michigan - bringing the same level of attention to a single-unit job as we do to a 21-unit relocation.
